01 The story, in three paragraphs

Why everyone keeps coming back.

Nestled in the heart of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Le Satori Sushi invites sushi lovers and Japanese cuisine enthusiasts to experience a culinary journey that is both authentic and vibrant. This carefully curated sushi restaurant is a local gem offering a mouthwatering selection that ranges from exquisite nigiri to creative poke bowls and soul-warming ramen soups, ensuring every palate finds something to savor.

At Le Satori Sushi, the menu shines with standout dishes like the Satori Poke, a colorful harmony of fresh salmon, red meat tuna, white fish, seasonal vegetables, steamed rice, and nori, all drizzled with a delicate sashimi sauce that perfectly balances umami and freshness. For those seeking hearty comfort, the Shichimi Togaraschi Ramen delivers an immersive experience—the eighteen-hour boiled pork broth infused with smoky roasted garlic, fiery chili oil, sesame, and seven-layered Japanese spices creates a velvety depth, complemented by tender charsiu pork, sweet corn, a perfectly soft-boiled egg, and crunchy green onions. This dish alone speaks volumes about the chef’s dedication to layered flavors and traditional technique.

The dining atmosphere at Le Satori Sushi exudes a calm and inviting aura. Customers have noted the clean, well-maintained space and appreciate the quiet ambiance, which allows for easy conversation while you indulge in the artful dishes. The staff’s warm and polite service completes the experience, creating a setting that feels personally attentive yet comfortably relaxed.

To quench your thirst, the beverage selection caters to varied preferences—from refreshing carbonated waters like Eska Gazéifié to clever non-alcoholic options such as Carlsberg 0% beer. This thoughtful pairing of drinks enhances the meal without overshadowing the delicate flavors of the sushi and ramen offerings.

What truly sets Le Satori Sushi apart is its commitment to customer care, especially for those with dietary restrictions. One delighted guest shared that despite a seafood allergy, they felt safe and welcomed here thanks to the restaurant’s rigorous allergy protocols—a testament to their genuine attentiveness and professionalism.

Whether you’re stopping by for a quick takeout fix or settling in for a relaxed dinner, Le Satori Sushi crafts each dish with precision and passion. The combination of fresh ingredients, authentic flavors, and an inviting atmosphere makes this sushi restaurant a must-visit destination in Quebec’s Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu area.

For sushi connoisseurs and Japanese cuisine fans alike, Le Satori Sushi offers not just a meal, but an experience filled with honest flavors and heartfelt hospitality.

I saw a Facebook ad for Satori Sushi and decided to give it a try. Opted for the chef's choice at a dollar per piece. Ended up getting fifty pieces for takeout since we weren't up for cooking. Ordering online was easy peasy, with a clear pick-up time given. When I got there, there was a bit of a wait—my order was ready 15 minutes past the scheduled time. The sushi was okay, but very minimal fish in each piece. Service was a bit slow, but hey, you get what you pay for. It's decent if you just need a quick bite. The vibe was nice and there was plenty of parking.

Let’s start by the service. Staff was really nice and polite. However, it took a while to get our order. The sushi itself was good; the speciality ones were great. The place was very clean and multiple washrooms available.

This place is my new favorite!!! First time in 5 years that I eat sushi, since I’m allergic to seafood…but they actually take allergies seriously and make it a point to make it safe to eat!! The wine list is completely on point The service is unbelievable! We got Alicia as a waitress and she was simply amazing!! I rarely write reviews, but this experience was too good not to comment!

Was my first time, the food was very good and the service was excellent. I had sushi and everything was fresh and delicious. I loved that it was not a loud restaurant, you can actually talk normally at the table. They have a 5 à 7 special Monday to Friday, Sapporo 12oz beer on tap is only $5.00

Just had our anniversary dinner. The waitress Vanessa was attentive Made some great suggestions in French and English. Food was very appealing and tasty. The dragon's eye was both our favourite. In the end we ordered the Poke.... very interesting dish. We couldn't finish it and the busboy came around and suggested that we bring it home. Game thumbs up to all the chef's when we left. Decor was nice and it the place was spotless. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Went on a Tuesday night. We were 2 adults and 2 children. I was impressed at how kid-friendly the restaurant is: coloring pages and markers to keep them entertained, kids menu. The ambiance was nice when we arrived, but the music and chatter became a little too loud later in the evening. There were menu options to please everyone, including non-sushi eaters. I had the tuna tartare - the other flavors were good, but they overpowered the tuna. I enjoyed the spicy hotate gunkan. I highly recommend the flambéed banana!
